Obama Iraq Clock
The GOP mavens have decided the best way to hit Obama is to ask why he hasn’t visited Iraq by putting up an Obama Iraq clock.
An interesting question, going beyond the classic strawman When did you stop beating your wife? and reaching into the Why haven’t you visited my wife after I beat her? territory.
The simple retort is for Obama to say:
If as John McCain, George Bush, and the GOP say Iraq is doing fine, there’s no reason for me to go there. So which is it?
Is this the best they can do? They’ve reverted to schoolyard taunts ever since Rove left.

And, your April 2007 visit to Baghdad in flak vest, flanked by 100 soldiers, choppers and gunships through the specially-cleared market was somehow more informative, Senator McCain? You remember that visit, don’t you? You had to retract your statement that people could move freely. This was one of the times you said you “misspeak.”
